How It Works

1. Book an Appointment

First, book an appointment with your preferred shop. Explain what you need done, and be sure to ask what day is best to drop off your car. Then, book a Skyz appointment for the same day your service shop is available.

2. Pick up

When booking an appointment with Skyz, make sure to book for at least 15 minutes when you will be home. A Skyz employee will arrive at your house with your optional rental car to go over all the details of the process, check in your car, and assure you're satisfied with your rental.

  • Skyz will clock your odometer and gas line before picking up your car.

3. Transportation

  • After we have received your authorization, we'll grab the keys, wheel lock (if applicable), and insurance for your vehicle.​​
  • A Skyz employee will drop your vehicle off at your preferred shop and confirm with staff what service is needed.
  • If you are wrapping, changing the paint color, or tinting your car, please choose colors and tint in advance of your appointment with Skyz.

4. Communication

  • If there are any updates from your mechanic, wrap shop, etc., they will contact you directly. If you have questions, concerns or would like general advice about your service, please don't hesitate to contact Skyz.

5. Quality check

  • Once your service shop has completed their task, it is your responsibility to pay your shop for the service completed. Most shops have the option to pay over the phone or electronically. Paying through us is also an option.
  • After the service bill is paid in full, Skyz will come to quality check the work done.
  • We will go over the full estimate of work done and paid for
  • Make sure all lines on the estimate were completed
  • Assuring the accessible bolts or parts touched by the shop are not hand-loose
  • Inspecting check-in photos to make sure there are no new scratches or dents
  • Test drive the vehicle if engine work or suspension work was done, including:
    • Making sure the steering wheel doesn't pull left or right
    • Confirming that the engine is running properly or is not overheating
  • Assuring the wheels are torqued to the correct spec if they were removed
  • For tint, wrap, or clear mask work, this includes, but is not limited to:
  • Inspecting the newly installed wrap or tint for air bubbles, dust, creases, tears, lifted edges, or scratches.
  • Assuring all removed parts were correctly reinstalled.
  • Making sure there are no new scratches or dents around or inside the car.
  • For paint or ceramic coating work, this includes, but is not limited to:
  • Checking paint for color match, dust, sand scratches, buffing swirl marks, clear coat dryness, orange peel, dieback, etc.
  • Assuring body work is straight, if applicable.
  • Making sure all parts removed were reinstalled correctly.
  • Checking for overspray on adjacent parts.
  • Confirming that there are no new scratches or dents anywhere on the car.
  • If there are any issues with the quality of the service provided, you will be notified, and Skyz will have issues rectified with your service shop.

6. Detail (optional)

  • You will have the option to get a quick interior and exterior detail.
  • If your car had paint work or ceramic coating done, your paint should not come into contact with water for two weeks after service is completed. Therefore, if you select detail with your package, only an interior detail will be completed.

7. Drop Off

  • After Skyz is satisfied that the repair or service was done correctly, your car will be dropped off at your house at a predetermined time that works best for you.
  • You must be home with your rental during this drop-off session.
  • Skyz will go over all the work completed on the car with you and make sure you're satisfied with the service done.
  • Skyz will pick up the rental car, and you will be sent a bill for the remaining cost of your rental car and fuel top off.
  • Your Skyz appointment will then be completed!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I still get a detail if I'm getting paint or ceramic work completed?

A: If you add a detail to your package, but your vehicle is getting paintwork or ceramic coating done, only the interior will be detailed. Your vehicle should not be washed for two weeks following the service due to the amount of time it takes for ceramic coating and paint to cure.
